Clio Tools ("the extension") is a Chrome extension built by Handstands.io. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What data we collect

The extension collects and stores the following data locally on your device:

• Your Clio OAuth access token and refresh token (stored in Chrome's secure local storage, used to authenticate API requests to Clio on your behalf)
• Your Clio region (e.g. app.clio.com, au.app.clio.com) detected during OAuth
• Timer state (running/paused, elapsed seconds) stored locally so the timer persists across page navigations

What data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect, transmit, or store your Clio credentials (username or password)
• We do not collect personal information about you beyond what is described above
• We do not track your browsing activity
• We do not sell data to third parties

Clio API access

When you log a time entry, the extension makes a direct API call from your browser to Clio's servers using your OAuth token. This data goes directly to Clio — it does not pass through any Clio Tools servers.

Payments

Payments are handled by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe as its payment processor. Clio Tools never sees or stores your payment information. ExtensionPay's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Analytics

The extension does not use any analytics or tracking tools. We do not know how you use the extension.

Data retention and deletion

All data stored by the extension lives in Chrome's local storage on your device. You can delete it at any time by removing the extension from Chrome (chrome://extensions). This also revokes the extension's access to your Clio account via OAuth.

Third-party services

The extension interacts with the following third-party services:

• Clio (Themis Solutions Inc.) — for time entry API calls. Subject to Clio's privacy policy.
• ExtensionPay / Stripe — for subscription payments. Subject to ExtensionPay's and Stripe's privacy policies.

Clio Tools is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Themis Solutions Inc.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
